Assessing the relationship between SHRM and marketing performance of general engineering and contracting companies in Iran: the mediating effects of organisational citizenship behaviour, entrepreneurship and job satisfaction

Background: Today’s organizations have found that prioritizing human resource management and deploying a comprehensive human
resources system can greatly impact various parts of the organization, including its performance. Based on this principle, it is vital to determine the underlying factors affecting the performance of companies.
Purpose: Accordingly, the present study was conducted to determine the effects of Strategic Human resource management on the marketing performance of General Engineering and Contracting Companies. The study determined that improving corporate marketing performance is not possible without human resource management. Strategic human resource management is a key prerequisite for achieving marketing performance.
Research Methods: The present research, with respect to method of data collection, is regarded as descriptive-survey; and with respect to objective - as applied research. The statistical population of this study is composed of engineering and companies active in Iran (2194 companies with grade one to grade four). It should be noted that considering the need for access to samples, only companies located in Tehran were considered as a statistical population. The number of companies in Tehran is equal to 642 cases (In other words, 642 companies located in Tehran with grade one to grade four). In the current study, in order to determine the number of samples, the Cochran formula was used. Accordingly, the sample of this study consists of 241 engineering and contracting companies in Tehran. Simple random sampling method and stratified sampling method is used for sampling. In this study, in order to analyze the data, the structural equation modeling approach was used. In addition to gathering data through the questionnaire, a well-structured interview was carried out to validate the precision and improve the applicability of the research outcomes. The study's focus was on management science experts, and an expert in this context was defined as an individual holding a Ph.D. in any management-related field, having at least 10 years of management experience, and expressing readiness and availability to partake in the research.
